I finally got around to registering my dog with the city's animal control office. It was surprisingly straightforward online, just needed his microchip number and proof of rabies vaccine. They sent back a little tag for his collar, which feels official. I figure it's a good idea, especially since he's a bolter when he sees a squirrel.
